USM Communication Students Empower Community Through Comm@L.I.T.

A total of 71 students from the YBP230 Corporate Social Responsibility course, School of Communication, USM, successfully launched Comm@Love In Transit (Comm@L.I.T.), a student-led outreach initiative in collaboration with Pusat Transit Gelandangan Pulau Pinang (PTGPP) and supported by SULAM–USM.Guided by Prof. Dr. Jamilah Hj Ahmad, the programme featured hands-on workshops on eco-soap making, hydroponic farming, nutritious cooking, hygiene care, and hepatitis B screening—aligned with #SDG2, #SDG3, and #SDG12.More than 60 PTGPP residents participated actively, while the livestream drew over 2,100 viewers via Instagram (@commcsr.usm) and TikTok (@comm@loveintransit), reflecting strong public interest in community-based skill-building efforts. Special thanks to our valued sponsors for making this initiative possible.Phase 2 drops June 14, 2025—featuring an Open Day, exhibitions & community games!
