School of Communication
Persatuan Komunikasi, better known as PERKOM, is a student association focused on education and welfare activities for the undergraduates of School of Communication. PERKOM also gives students the opportunity to experience and participate in a wide range of projects such as community service projects, school annual events and student welfare issues. In addition, PERKOM also helps the School of Communication in facilitating the school's programs, such as the Dean's Award Ceremony.
Among the activities pioneered by PERKOM are academic programs, such as the Regional Communication Student Colloquium (RCSC). RCSC aims to provide a platform for students to exchange their knowledge and perspectives.
The Postgraduate Association of Communication Students (PACOMS) is a student-led association that is dedicated to strengthen network and unity among the postgraduate students of the School of Communication, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
PACOMS aims to create and foster a sense of identity and community for all postgraduate students. In addition, the organisation is also to provide an effective voice to promote the distinct academic, professional and social interests of postgraduate students.
Last but not least, the focus of PACOMS is to represent postgraduate student interests to the University, student organisations, and other groups beyond the greater University community. Potential activities for the postgraduate student’s benefits are being conducted from time to time. For example, Regional Communication Student Colloquium (RCSC), quantitative and qualitative seminars, student wellbeing seminar, publishing strategies, and many more.
